Welcome to Zoo Tycoon 2 ES Bonus Patches New Logo mods returns improved expansion presents Update containing Download now Github Available. Link :
Just Updated
Google Drive is one of several hosting sites used by many for sharing ZT2 Downloads. However, it recently received a security update which has rendered some links nearly useless - you now need to be granted access to them. This access has to be granted by the file owner to every single person requesting the file, making it quite inconvenient for both parties. You might not notice this for files you had accessed pior to the update.
File owners can fix this by removing security update (see below) from files and creating new links for folders - new Drive links now include a resourcekey at the end (here is an example with my own Drive) which negates the need to ask for access.
If you're not sure whether one of your links is working or not, you can use a different browser/incognito mode (so you are not logged in to you Google account) and click your link - if it asks you to log in, that means your link requires access and needs to be updated.
I hope all designers who have used Google Drive for sharing their work could take the time to make these changes, so their downloads aren't lost in time like many others have been in the past. If you could contact people who are inactive and give them a link to this post, it would also be a ton of help. If you have many files, consider placing them all in a folder (optionally with subfolders) and sharing that link instead. You may also post a link to your Drive as a reply to this post if you find it more convenient.

As you may or may not now, the Fandom platform (wikias for videogames, movies, books, etc.) have been migrating to a new platform called UCP. You can read this link if you want more detailed information.
For the ZT2 Download Library, this meant a sitewide change on October 20, 2020 that drastically changed some features, removed some, and added some new ones.
Since then, we've been working to improve what we have, and re-create features that were not longer supported by default after the update.
There have been some pretty big changes, so I decided to write this changelog to introduce them.
Gallery Update
With the conversion, the old Category Exhibition view was no longer supported. We implemented a completely different method that looks pretty similar, but better. The old method allowed only 16 results per page, but the new one has infinite scrolling, so you can view all the contents of a category (even hundreds or thousands) by just scrolling up and down.
Infobox Updates
We have completely changed the coding of the infoboxes in each download page, going from simple tables to a template. This has minor visual differences:
But coding-wise, it's much more compact and user-friendly, making editing and creating new pages much easier. The contributing page has also been updated accordingly.
Multiple Images
In the past, pages with multiple images (variants, life stages, renders, etc.) consisted of slideshows, rotating automatically through images, and could only move back and forward. We have completely revamped this to a system of named tabs, where you just need to click on the tab of the image you want to see.
Multiple Versions
We have changed the appearance of downloads with multiple versions, from a buggy second table at the bottom, to a top bar in the navigation allowing you to easily check all versions, with minimal coding work.
These changes would not have been possible without our wiki manager Moviesign, who wrote most of the coding and helped us implement it.
We hope you enjoy these new features. If you see anything looking out of place, please let us know, as we used a combination of automated and manual work, so some things might have slipped past us.
I'm seeing a few things that need to be addressed to get the WIki back to what it was before. It's mostly minor things and some might be fixed by the devs themselves, but I've noticed at least a few odd things that have borked up the formatting.
Any categories containing an ampersand (&) are showing up as & on the bottom of pages. I'm pretty sure this is a bug on FANDOM's part since it's not showing up anywhere else at the moment. https://zt2downloadlibrary.fandom.com/wiki/Puna_Ibis_(Bunteriro) has a category with the issue.
Gallery mode is gone so the category instructions need to be updated with the new viewing mode. This'll be easy since it should just need an edit to the template. Also, this means images that aren't perfectly square wont look so bad in categories but I'd still encourage using them for consistency.
The category intersection feature is broken. A lot of the JS stuff probably is but that will have to wait on updates.
The new Wiki Activity looks like garbage (in my opinion) so here's a JS script that fixes that if anyone's interested: https://dev.fandom.com/wiki/WikiActivity
Since I've noticed several people posting wishes around the wiki, I decided to make a forum board for them: Wishlists. Feel free to make a thread and post what you would like to see for the game, or add your wishlist that you have already posted elsewhere. However please note that this wiki is primarily a place to come looking for downloads, so I can't guarantee many designers will look at your suggestions here. As such I would recommend posting at the wishlist section at TRT (or other websites) too or instead.
I've finally decided to remove all PU content from the wikia, as I personally didn't think they were useful to have, recieved a lot of negative feedback about them, and according to the poll most people either prefer them removed or don't mind. Please don't add any PU stuff in the future, thank you.
Now I'm wondering if we should do the same for unreleased content, since some of them were shown 5+ years ago and are unlikely to ever be released.
So I decided to start adding Conservation Status categories for animals. It's a lot of work, but I'm sure they'll be really useful and it was my fault for not including them from the beginning.
I'd like to ask contributors to start using them as well for new pages. Put the conservation status category right after the biome.
That said, this will obviously take some time to implement so I ask everyone to be patient while the old pages are updated.
If I could get any help, that would be wonderful. I'll be going through the taxa categories (Amphibians done) so if you want to help, just go through a different one. Remember this category is according to the IUCN Red List listing, so don't pay attention to the coding, wikipedia, etc. Thanks a lot for reading, also hope you like the new background :P
I have decided for the format for multiple version downloads to be like this:
- Helmeted Guineafowl (Okeanos)
- Hawaiian Spinner Dolphin (Jannick)
- Tyrant Polar Bear (The Beeg One)
- Velociraptor (Ultamateterex2)
etc.
So please everyone, don't go around making up names for downloads (like "Original", "First", "V2", "Remake" or whatever).
This method allows for each version to have its own pictures, credits, link, categories, etc. instead of having it all lumped together, and makes it easy and fast to see all versions of an animal/thing made by a designer. It also takes less space in scientific name pages.
The only drawback I see with this method is that the categories are not visible in the version tabs, but it's the best solution I could think of.
It's also a little confusing to make at first but here is a short guide on how to do it: Contributing:Multiple Version Downloads.
If anyone has any suggestions regarding the formatting of multiple version downloads (contributors, admins, lurkers or unregistered users alike), feel free to comment.
Thanks for your attention.
